UO:R updates

For those of you who didnt know already, there is a scavenger hunt going on right now on the UOR shard. Its an on-going event which means it doesnt matter which timezone you play from to enter it. |
You can read more about this scavenger hunt on our forums, click here. Don`t be discouraged if you enter this hunt later then others as so far noone has been even halfway through the hunt, new entrees are still able to win this hunt. This scavenger hunt is hosted by our beloved Lead Counselor Eagle.
Meanwhile we don`t have a monster of the month for October, November will have one for sure though. Lead Seer Mephiston is working on it as we speak. For those of you who need monsters to feed their dragons can try venture in the Haunted Village. A gate to this village can be found near West Britain Bank. I know this village has been open for awhile but there are still a few players that havn`t found their way to this spooky place yet.
By popular demand the potion keg donation item has been given a boost. It now has 20x Heal Kegs, 20x Cure Kegs and 13x TR Kegs. Go check out the donation-center here.
So much for this update, we are already working on an action-packed halloween-super-sunday for October 30. I can`t tell you much yet but we got a few surprises for the UO:R shard. You don`t want to miss this. |

New UO:R Hardware.

Our new UO:R Hardware is now online. |
Every year we have to constantly think of the future with a server that constantly grows year after year.
As we approach the second year of Defiance we have prepared for 2006 by upgrading our UO:R Hardware to even greater standards.
The current hardware of the UO:R Shard now is:
Quad Xeon 3.2GHz EMT64.
2x 150GB SCSI Drives on Raid 1 for incredible reliability.
6GB DDR ECC RAM.
We can clearly tailor for the the coming 2006 with this new power, and we are even ready to move into 64bit by turning on the EMT64 when we can - once we can take advantage of the 64bit Memory space the limit of Defiance is endless.
Please say a big thank you to everyone who\'s donated over the last several months who has made it possible for us to vision the future and now put that vision into practice.
Defiance is hear to stay for more years, stay tuned - a lot is happing over the next few months.

UOR CTF League

As some of you might have noticed, we have a new menu option on the Defiance website entitled: CTF League. |
While the second CTF League season is already underway, we lacked the place of a real scoreboard and thus here it is. Here you can find the current standings, results of played matches and the upcomming 2 matches.
On a side note, I`ve gotten a few emails of players who can`t find the CTF outdoor map on our website. If you go to the download center on the left of your screen (the menu). Inside the download center you will find a CTF Patch. Download and install this into your UO folder. Good luck! |
