Invasion of Vesper by Anadin Aranak

[back]

This is what happened on May 31, 2005 [T2A]:

Beware traveller! Thee never know when an Orc invasion may just come to thee town! Proof of this was today shown when Orc forces ripped into the heart of Vesper without thought nor regret. Let me now bring thee my story of the attack, and the resulting events from it! It was indeed a fantasic day of blood and honour, one of which stories will echo for a long time to come.

Having earlier been to the town, I was agast to hear the invasion had begun without me. I rushed to Vesper to see if I could help. When I got there it seemed as if the main body of orcs had been defeated. I mopped up the remnaints of the orcs. Clearly this drawing depicts how slaughtered these orcs were.

Just then I met a man called Hartham, whom is the Captain of the Guard. Of course this was a mighty honour, but I had to listen to his words for Brother Olic was in danger. I was told to follow the road west out of Vesper towards Britain and find Brother Olic and the relics. I tell thee now, my companions and I searched up and down the road for hours without a sniff of Olic.
But do not worry thyself traveller! I recalled from my earlier trip to Covetous that there had been orcs nearby, an increased amount as thee might recall me reporting, and it alerted me to the thought that he could be there.

And woe, my worst fears were realised when we discovered orcs all over the dungeon of Covetous. Straight away we ploughed head into the dungeon, only quickly to realise we were in just the smallest amount of trouble.

One of my comrades, my newly formed friends provided me with night sight! We battled on as a team, not one person shirking thy duties. Oh it was a magnificent performance of skill and cunning to overcome those filthy orcs. Eventually someone freed Olic before I reached his pen, but I managed to get a look at it.
Of course now we had to battle the way out of the dungeon. The orcs had seemed to have gone, and so the fight out was all the easier for us.
Eventually and with some relief we managed to escape that stinking hole with Olic, his recuse from the dungeon complete. We then continued to find his staff for him, which he had dropped when being attacked. Although, it was not much of a staff I tell thee!
And so the long journey to Britain began. Brother Olic was tired and so the pace was slow. I have to admit to letting my bad habbits shine through and trying a few scams on my comrades.
Luckily for I they took it as a joke, lest I would be hanging from a tree by my legs I tell thee. We continued on after that to an outpost, and it was there that I finally understood where the orcs had gone!

It seemed the remnants of their forces had congregated at the outpost on the road to Britain, from which they spring their last gasp effort to murder Olic and his protectors.

We managed to overcome these forces, although it was not easy and a few men perished. However, we continued onto Britain and finally made it safely there!
From there we entered into a building in Britain, and Olic placed the relics on the stand from which they can now be viewed. The Captain of the Guards was already there, and it was a great honour to be present and help men of such profound honour and fame.
And so we had rescued Olic, stopped the orc hordes and brought the relics back to Britain. Everyone was honoured for their help, and rewarded with some rare and superb magic weapons. However, three people were selected for particular bravery in the face of the orc minions, and it is with great honour and pride that I tell thee I was one of them.
The names of those who were singled out by the Captain of the Guards, were from left to right: Anadin Aranak, Helena Chan and InViSiBlE.

And so a day of greatness was complete. Never in my life had I been rewarded so, and so thee can easily understand why I am so quick to write this story for thee!
